Head Hackers is a movement which comes about by breaking established codes via creative freedom, purity and independence. The three young members of X-presion; Jose Luis Almendral, Marco Antonio Restrepo and Jorge Cáncer, founded the first studio dedicated exclusively to innovation through development and research in hairdressing. By embarking on a six-month journey with them, we will gain insights into this new movement led by those who have a clear calling to revolutionize the world of avant-garde hairdressing with inspiration and connectivity.
A retrospective insight into the lives of the three artists individually, combined with a portrayal of the three members together who form as a strong creative powerhouse and a family. We follow theirtrajectory : each member being the result of their own personal life experiences, We will embark on a journey through their lives to discover the origins of this project and how it is continually growing. We will experience first hand their core values such as passion for work, fun, love, family and the constant discovery of new ways of expression which is all achieved through their insatiable daily activity.
Featuring interviews with artists from other disciplines who speak about the movement, sound, art, psychology, synesthesia and the psychosomatization of the human being in terms of color, form and texture.
An exercise in self-improvement and research which is second to none, a journey in search of the most impossible “in”, which will help the team create new transgressions in colour as well as an innovative creative method.
Art, movement, colour and love as a way of life
X-presion is not a catalogue of hairdressing trends, it is an artistic movement which blends together colour, shapes, dedication and pure fire.
And just as a flame varies according to the substances and elements, present in its environment, X-presion mixes different techniques with physical, ephemeral and unique elements to create bursts of visual combustion.
